Meet the Teacher
My name is Mrs. Sonia Massey, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s 5th or 6th grade ELA teacher this year! I have been in education for over 20 years, first as a paraprofessional in the special education department and then as a teacher in the general education classroom. I believe every student has a unique purpose and I consider it a joy and honor to be a part of their learning journey.
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Rob Massey, for 34 years. We are blessed with three amazing children: Robby Massey & his wife Raven, Robyn Jeffers & her husband Colby, and Rebecca Friend & her husband Zach. We have two incredible grandchildren, Brantlee and Shiloh Massey, and five beloved fur grands: Charlie, Willow, Benji, Abbie, and Izzy.
I’m a Christian, and I love Jesus with all my heart. I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, spending time with my family, and of course… teaching!
My favorite color is brown, and I absolutely love the beach!
