In 2021 while under Covid protocols, we realized that our Kindergarten students were missing out on opportunities. Through the genius of Mahaley Jeffers, the Hawks Pals program was created.
Hawks Pals is a program that partners an eighth grader with a kindergarten student. This allows the students to build connections and relationships with one another. The eighth grade students become a "big brother" or "big sister" to the kindergarteners. The students meet monthly and enjoy an activity together and even take field trips! The program has been a great success since its implementation.
